Jeg er den 3 ejer af bilen der kun har kørt 12000km de sidste 5 år, dog med service hvert år, med ny olie osv.
Den første ejer af vognen var en samler der købte den og ombyggede den efter ønske uden at skele til pris.
Bla : proffesionel bygget clio cup motor, pris ca 70000kr

Han var desuden i besiddelse af flere ferrarier, bmw'er, lancia delta intergrale osv.

Renault Clio (1) General Information

The Renault R5 had an amazingly long and successful life, with only one minor facelift it was produced for nearly 20 years! And it had a worthy replacement. As Renault meanwhile replaced numbers by names, the all new design to replace the R5 was called Clio. The Clio followed on in the French tradition of nippy, fun handling hot hatches. In fact, on the road the Clio was always one of the cars that fit the description "hot hatch" most perfectly.

And soon Renault started something that as well was not new for French car manufacturers. Well, Peugeot had started with what some nick named "Lego engines" where parts between different engines were interchangeable. I.e. a 205 GTI 1.6 engine could be converted to a 205 GTI 1.9 engine simply by changeing crankshaft and con rods and adding a spacer. But for Peugeot it was more design and production convenience. Renault took this idea a step further and proved once more how customer orientated French sport departments work:

The hottest Clio at first was called Clio 16s - the "s" standing for soupapes, the French word for valves, so this name simply meant 16v. The Clio 16s had a 1.8 16v engine, which at first sounded like a good idea for a car that size. But soon it was discovered that 1783cc is not such a good idea for motorsport, when the car was homologated for N3 and A7, these classes stretching from 1601cc to 2000cc. Renault needed a 2.0 for the Clio. Since Renault was at that time cooperating with the Williams F1 team, Williams helped creating an engine with 1998cc, which was basically taking the 1.8 and giving it a longer stroke. The according road model was called Clio Williams.

Then the strike of genius was that motorsport customers were addressed and offered a kit of parts. The kit would be affordable for privateer and amateur drivers and it would avoid their Clio 16s going to waste. With a pretty simple kit you could convert your 1.8 16s to a 2.0 Williams. Maybe this is where the "Kit Car" idea comes from. Renault was long not finished with the Clio kit. Read on in the Clio Maxi file!!!!
